2. Use of This Website
By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully.
You must not:
Reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit website content without permission.
Attempt to interfere with the website's security or functionality.
Use images, designs or written content without appropriate authorisation.
Submit false or misleading information through enquiry or booking forms.
We reserve the right to update, modify or remove website content at any time.
3. Intellectual Property
All original photographs, paper flower designs, artwork, illustrations, written content and other creative materials displayed on this website are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Unless otherwise stated, the intellectual property rights in original work belong to Sophie Longhurst.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially use any original content without prior written permission.
Purchasing an artwork, attending a workshop or commissioning a design does not automatically transfer copyright or intellectual property rights.
Any licensing or usage rights associated with commissioned work will be agreed separately in writing.
4. Products and Purchases
Where products are offered for sale through this website, we aim to provide accurate descriptions, photographs and pricing.
Please be aware that:
Handmade products may feature natural variations in shape, colour and finish.
Colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings.
Product availability may change without notice.
Prices and delivery charges will be displayed before purchase.
Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. An automated acknowledgement of an order does not necessarily constitute acceptance. We will confirm acceptance or dispatch separately.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund.
5. Delivery and Returns
Delivery information, including estimated timescales and applicable charges, will be provided during the purchasing process.
Unless otherwise agreed, orders will be delivered within 30 days.
For eligible online purchases, customers have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving their goods, without giving a reason. Customers must then return the goods within a further 14 days.
Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer legislation. Where the statutory cancellation right applies, the original standard delivery charge will also be refunded.
Customers may be responsible for return postage where this has been communicated before purchase.
Certain items, including genuinely bespoke or personalised products made to an individual's specifications, may be exempt from the usual change-of-mind cancellation rights.
These exceptions do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
For assistance with a return, please contact us using the email address provided above.
6. Workshops and Events
Sophie Longhurst offers creative workshops and may participate in events organised by third-party venues or businesses.
Where a workshop is booked directly through this website:
Places are subject to availability.
Full payment may be required to secure a booking.
Workshop details, including dates, times, locations and materials, will be provided before booking.
Any specific cancellation or transfer conditions will be communicated before payment.
Bookings for leisure activities taking place on a specified date will generally not be subject to the standard 14-day statutory cooling-off period.
If Sophie Longhurst cancels a workshop, customers who booked directly will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date where available.
If a workshop is arranged and sold by a third-party organiser, that organiser's booking terms and cancellation policies may apply.
Participants are expected to follow reasonable safety guidance and treat fellow attendees, venues and equipment with respect.
7. Commissions and Commercial Collaborations
Sophie Longhurst welcomes enquiries for bespoke artwork, installations, visual merchandising, prop creation and commercial collaborations.
All commissioned projects will be subject to individually agreed terms, which may include:
Project scope and creative brief.
Fees, deposits and payment schedules.
Production and delivery timescales.
Revisions and approval processes.
Copyright, licensing and permitted usage.
Cancellation and postponement arrangements.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a binding agreement.
A commission will be confirmed only when the relevant project terms have been agreed.
Any contract agreed specifically for a commission will take precedence over these general website terms where the two differ.
8. Payments
Where payments are accepted through the website, transactions will be processed using the payment methods displayed at checkout.
Prices will be shown in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated, with applicable taxes and additional charges disclosed before payment.
For commissioned work, payment arrangements will be confirmed separately.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there is a genuine pricing error, suspected fraudulent activity or another legitimate reason, subject to applicable consumer law.
9. Website Content and Accuracy
We take reasonable care to ensure that information published on this website is accurate and up to date.
However, occasional errors or omissions may occur.
We may amend descriptions, availability, pricing and other website information where necessary.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.
10. External Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites, including workshop booking platforms, retailers, social media channels or collaborating businesses.
These links are provided for convenience and information.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or terms of external websites.
We recommend reviewing the relevant policies before making purchases or sharing personal information with third parties.
11. Privacy and Personal Information
We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly.
Information submitted through enquiries, purchases or newsletter subscriptions will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Please refer to our separate Privacy Policy for further information about how personal data is collected, used and stored.
12. Limitation of Liability
We take reasonable steps to maintain a secure, accessible and functioning website.
However, we cannot guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted or free from technical issues.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising solely from temporary website unavailability or matters outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes to our business, website functionality or legal obligations.
The most recent version will always be available on this page, together with its last updated date.
Any changes will apply prospectively and will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing confirmed purchase or agreement without appropriate consent.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings elsewhere where applicable.
15. Contact
